MightyTeams - Teamwork at the Speed of Thought

At MightyMeeting we focus on business mobility in general and mobile presentations in particular. "Present Anywhere" has been our tag line ever since the company was formed two years ago. We launched on the iPhone. Later, we were the first non-Apple application to be launched on the iPad.

Today we have many happy customers in every part of the world and over a million digital assets under management in our cloud-based content repository. The app is particularly popular with sales people, educators, entrepreneurs, consultants, doctors, and real-estate agents, basically anyone who needs to present on the road, often at a moment's notice.

We noticed that in more than one instance MightyMeeting was used as part of a collaboration workflow. It is a common practice, for example, for a marketing department to create presentations and distribute them to sales people via MightyMeeting. We saw MightyMeeting used in many sales kick-offs where each attendee was getting a new iPad and a copy of MightyMeeting pre-loaded with presentations and videos.

MightyMeeting was designed as a presentation tool. Many of you figured out how it can be used to collaborate and share content. This was a clear signal to us that we could do more in this department. To understand exactly how much more we could offer, we decided to take a step back and consider a bigger picture.

Presentations and demo videos originate in the marketing department. The marketing department may use outside help to create this content. The content is reviewed by the decision makers inside the company. It is then distributed to the sales force. Sales people engage prospects by sharing some of the content. The objective is to set up a meeting where the full pitch can be delivered. Later, they follow up with their audience and channel the feedback back to the marketing department. The marketing department tweaks the collateral and the process repeats itself until the company comes up with a highly tuned pitch that closes more deals than ever.

At every step in the process, there is a need for a tool that facilitates the flow of ideas, feedback, and content.

Our first impulse was to offer this functionality as part of the MightyMeeting app and we quickly created several prototypes. It became clear, however, that unlike desktop or web applications, mobile apps cannot be easily extended beyond just a few use cases. Adding layers of menus and screens worked against usability and experience.

And that is how, ladies and gentlemen, MightyTeams was born.

MightyTeams is a stand-alone mobile collaboration application that relies on our proven cloud-based platform to deliver instant group messaging, voice conferencing, and file sharing in one tight and easy to use package. Together, MightyTeams and MightyMeeting cover all steps in the customer engagement workflow. One can rely on MightyTeams to collaborate and share content internally. MightyMeeting can be used to share the same content with customers and prospects in meetings, locally and remotely. Together, our two apps are the Yin and Yang of the sales process.

We've been using MightyTeams internally for the past couple of months and are absolutely loving it. When someone shares a file, an instant message is pushed to all phones, tablets, and browsers used by the team members. One can view the file in seconds and post a response back as an instant group message. Everyone can chip in with their feedback. If a conference call is needed to dive into details, that call is always just one click away. There are no phone numbers to dial or pass codes to remember. When the final version is ready, it can immediately be shared with partners and customer via MightyMeeting.

To paraphrase Bill Gates, MightyTeams is Teamwork at the Speed of Thought. Check it out. We hope that you like it as much as we do.
