Frequently Asked Questions
What presentation formats are supported?
MightyMeeting supports presentations in Microsoft Office and PDF formats. If you have a presentation in another format, e.g. Keynote, convert it to PDF or PPT before uploading it to MightyMeeting.
I got a cryptic email address from MightyMeeting when I signed up. What is it used for?
You can add presentations to your private MightyMeeting library by emailing them to this address. You can enter one or more tags in the subject line of the message. Each word is treated as a separate tag and can later be used to quickly find the presentation. We use a cryptic email address in order to protect your privacy and avoid spam.
Do I need to install a native app before I can join a web meeting?
No. Meeting participants do not need to install anything. One can start or join a web meeting using the MightyMeeting web application that can be accessed via a web browser running on a desktop, an iPhone, an iPod Touch, or an Android phone.
Do I need a Wi-Fi connection to start or join a meeting?
No. The design of the solution ensures that meetings can be held over a 3G wireless connection.
Can I display slides from my iPhone using a projector?
Technically this is possible but would require use of an undocumented API. Apple rejects applications that use undocumented API calls. However, recently we have seen a couple of applications in the App Store that do this. We will give it a try with one of our future updates.
